When developing the Cubie 180 SL, we took our mountain bikes for adults as a model - the result is a genuine off-road bike in a small size that has been perfectly tailored to young mountain bikers, centimeter by centimeter. Proof of this is the V-brakes on the front and rear wheels - with levers specially designed for children's hands. In addition, the chain disappears safely under the chain guard and the Schwalbe tires are just as optimally tailored and efficient as those on mom or dad's bike. When it comes to handling, riding fun meets safety: Like all of our bikes, this model has also passed our strict in-house safety tests with flying colors.

Children may be small, but their riding style can put a lot of strain on their bike. That's why we took the same care in developing the frame and fork of the Cubie 180 as we do with our adult models. Tube sets made of light but strong 6061 aluminum create a structure that is super easy to handle. And one that is so robust that it can withstand even over-motivated maneuvers - and their sometimes uncomfortable consequences. All of these details result in a genuine mountain bike with everything that little rippers need. No more, but also no less.
