For the frame of the Acid 240, our engineers used heat-treated tube sets made of 6061 aluminum - just like the adult models. So it's no wonder that the frame is just as robust and durable as our full-grown mountain bikes. However, we have adapted the weight and proportions to suit children. The mechanically shaped tubes show that this bike is also absolutely up to date in terms of technology. We have adapted the geometry to the needs of young bikers so that it offers controllable and directional handling. In addition, there is a lower top tube that gives confidence and increases safety. And because young bikers are bound to have the occasional fall, the derailleur hanger can be easily replaced. This often makes expensive repairs unnecessary. The Acid 240 Disc is definitely a mountain bike that every child would like to have. Light, robust and equipped with great components that help young bikers keep up with the rest of the family. This bike has everything that the adult models have. The hydraulic disc brakes ensure efficient and safe braking maneuvers and are easy to use because the brake levers are perfectly tailored to small children's hands. The Suntour suspension fork increases control and comfort on bumpy roads and even when it gets steep, the offspring can make quick progress without wasting power thanks to the wide 1x7 Shimano gear ratio. The heat-treated, mechanically formed tubes made of 6061 aluminum and the child-friendly geometry show that our engineers have worked with the same attention to detail as with the adult counterparts. The low top tube makes getting on and off easier and boosts the self-confidence of the juniors. And if a fall does occur, it's not so bad: the replaceable derailleur hanger saves you having to make expensive repairs if it gets damaged. Because we attach great importance to safety with each of our bikes, this mountain bike has of course also successfully passed our in-house tests.
